Warn me

“Warn me”You wrote before is was born, these pages of my life.

Each of the victories, and the strife.

You knew of my wants and each loss,

And my needs.

Couldn’t you have warned me,

Some actions, would cause me bleed.
Each page you filled with paths I’d choose.

Callouses I’d form, friends I’d lose.

Stoic and stern lesions I’d learn, Yet, your offers I’d spurn.

My heart you before life seeded.

Couldn’t you have warned me,

Some actions, would cause me bleed.
It seems warnings you tried,

my mother from them, often cried.

Watching my turns away from your way, till hurting, I returned one day.

Written before my time, on your words I feed.

Couldn’t you have warned me,

Some actions, would cause me bleed.
Still writing about where I’ve been.

Your missions, here with mortal men.

Stubbornly, standing with fools unable to follow rules.

You wrote for me in my time of need.

Couldn’t you have warned me,

Some actions, would cause me bleed.
Couldn’t you have warned me,

Some actions, would cause me bleed.

Send me signs that I would heed.

Pulled me back, before these if hurt,

Just sent me a warning, tell me first.

Couldn’t you have warned me,

Some actions, would cause me bleed.
