Before anger

Amber images fill my mind as I look through the smoke of time. Before I knew anger, I knew you and was hopeful.

Fear filled my waking hours till I remembered your words.

Dazed and confused in this clinging jungle of sin, I asked you to come in.

Endless nights on the edge of terminal fright, with evils arrows still in my wounds.

Not since before I knew hates sting, has such anger made my ears ring.

Yesterday fled with hopes promise, today, today returned peaces desires, not compromise.

Knowing this hurt, knowing its origin, prepares your heart for the win.

Stop bickering with your soul, and let Jesus play the leading role.

Just ask him, he’s waiting, I know, I hear him knocking, are you the door unlocking?
