Is it now your turn

Is it now your turn!

Streets overrun by these who would Liberty burn.

Stolen dreams, festering falsehoods rending democracy it seems.

Standing between reason and right, voiceless they fight.

Is it now your turn!

How now did you this freedom earn.

Handed to you on war stained planks or in protesting ranks.

Heavy grow representatives hearts for these, the governed.

Is it now your turn!

Placing foot to stone far from hearth and home.

Picking between angers past and promises future.

Pushing friends and foes for freedoms sake.

Is it now your turn!

Celebrating a right, demonstrating against war they fight.

Caught amid times flowing stream, protesting a theme.

Callously misusing terms, abusing freedoms earned.

Is it now your turn!

Faith formed in liberties well, refreshingly drink and of it we tell.

Fearfully bought, blood and life caught for you to here stand.

Find now the strength to stand in protest for voiceless speak.

Is it now your turn!

I hear your words but not your reasons.

I salute your desire, but not the path this season.

I have your pain felt, but in more constructive easy with it dealt.

Is it now your turn!

Don’t in foolish anger your Liberty burn.

Demanding fears folly others disdain you earn.

Depart from fools, you’ll share wisdoms pearls.

Is it now your turn!

Lovingly lavish unearned on others your hope.

Linger and listen before you speak.

Lasting friends from foes you’ll know.

Is it now your turn!

Is it now your turn?
