Ragged hill

Before a ragged hill stood we.Devoid of hope, faith depleted you see.

Under splintered shadows nails riveting our dream.

Ripped from life’s abundance, berated, battered and bruised.

Sins anguishing tears criss cross bloody cheeks.

Unable to stand, at your feet kneeling we plead.

Skies rumble and break as this beautiful soul heaven takes.

Not for his own but ours from him was life beat.

Before a ragged hill stood we.

Devoid of hope, faith depleted you see.

Rolled away a stone revealed.

Security, blessed assurity, he’s risen for you and me.

Defeating the grave, cleansing our sins.

Faith renewed, hope eternal springs, as evil flees.

Humbled in hates death, reborn with loves breath.

For our souls, his through hell, heaven was sent.

Standing with us, let us give him our best.

Before a ragged hill stood we.

Christ from hates cross, to heavens hope we now see.
