On these well worn knees I’m in prayer you see.
Not for me, but you and he.
Vows as old as time,
carrying a marriage rhyme.
Within this ring a sacred right
Each pledge to the other their life.
To live and love, share and hold,
as together you grow old.
In Gods own image created,
Two are one spiritually mated.
Bearing each other’s pain,
Through sorrows hurts,
and joys together you remain.
Lest this promise you forget,
Witness the rings, third finger left.
From the rib, to stand at his side,
God blessed the first husband and bride.
Walk together in his peace and pride,
United with family and friends at your side.
