Stranded in a room with out light.Worry filled faces, laced with tear trails.
Standing, sitting waiting for doctors to tell.
Shared fears, unable to steal,
an extension on life’s deal.
Fighting the night’s final call.
Leaning against well worn walls.
Scrubs and rubs swish and rattle,
as for these, death they battle.
Taunted turning to memory lane,
relatives, friends that came.
Offering a prayer of solace,
within the heart it calls us.
Sharing for these is caring,
even if no relationship we are bearing.
Hands grasped tight,
Christ’s love firmly in sight.
Together with strangers we fight,
Loneliness’ final blight.
We will not let these suffer alone tonight.
