Your loss

Eyes narrow as if focusing on distant memories as tears slip between reddening lids…
Smiles descend into quivering frowns as sobs escape pouting lips…
Wracked by heart crushing loss the body doubles in pain…
Emptiness fills your hearts space as you seek any trace of them…
Troubling thoughts your mind erase, your loss is heavens gain…
All the same, it is your loss and your pain….
Hands trembling reaching to clasp another’s to share…
For in their loss you were there, now for your pain they dare…
Around you they gather unable to speak…
Your peace with each mumbled blessing they seek…
Pain is best shared with those you most care…
Though even passing friends, for your hurt, shed a tear…
For they know, time comes for those they hold dear…
And you again for them, will share their hopes and fears…
Loss never comes easy, but in a touch, others show they care so much..
Even as words fail, time, with your hands grace upon a weeping brow will tell…
A heart for yours is breaking as yours shudders quaking, alone you are not…
Homes in heaven, fishing with Peter and the lot is where he’s got….
Smile for a while, remember what you can, how grand they were, who once here did stand…
