Peace’s final stand

It grows within an injured heart, the darkness of a lost soul.
Bound to frail understandings of wrongs real or perceived.
Touched by angers cold fingers, hate fills a mind with distrust.
Rusting springs of hope collapse where watered by frustrations tears.
Waisted hours in minutes burn angst eternal pyres.
Calculated chaos reigns from tormented minds so dire.
Slipping for a moment, hopes last gasping breath, faith gains times last grains.
Hands offered, words shared, illuminating peace’s final stand.
Which cast your actions offer, fills another’s descent or ascension.
Long shades of night, or faiths holy light, yours a decision this night.
